What is Near the Mana Kai?
The Mana Kai Maui is located in a prime location on Maui! Situated on the border of the popular beach town of Kihei and the resort neighborhood of Wailea, visitors will enjoy short drives to popular attractions in both towns.
The Kihei boat ramp is about a block away. There are numerous snorkel and dive excursions that launch from this boat ramp in the mornings, which could have you exploring the coral reefs at Molokini or swimming with the turtles at Turtle Town in minutes! If you don’t want to book a boat excursion, snorkel the reef that is right out front of the Mana Kai. You can even rent snorkel gear, kayaks, or stand up paddle boards right on site!
Nearby beach options are also plentiful! Kamaole Beach Parks I, II, and III are great for families as the waves are usually fairly gentle and there are lifeguards seven days a week. Ulua Beach in Wailea is one of the most popular snorkeling and scuba diving beaches on the south side of the island. Wake up early one morning and you could be in the water before the crowds start to build. If you are looking for waves, Big Beach (or Makena State Park) is about a fifteen minute drive from your condo. If you want to try your hand at surfing, there is a popular beginner's surfing beach located at Cove Park on South Kihei Rd. about five minutes away. You could even sign up for a surfing lesson!
Dining options are also abundant from your location at the Mana Kai Maui! Without getting in a car, you can try the oceanfront Five Palms restaurant located on the ground floor. They also have one of the most popular happy hours on the island. You could also walk right next door to Sorento’s on the Beach to enjoy some tasty Italian food while overlooking waves crashing on the beach. Other great nearby options include the always-popular Coconuts Fish Tacos (which is expanding across the West Coast), Fred’s Mexican Café, or any number of tasty restaurants located at the Shops at Wailea.
